Alan Estrada
Founder of Mayan Drywall

Growing up, I didn’t really like drywall because I didn’t like being dirty. While other kids were playing sports after school, I was helping with drywall jobs, wishing I could be out on the soccer field with my friends. At the time, I didn’t understand why my parents pushed me to work, but now I’m grateful they did. They taught me the importance of hard work, patience, and taking pride in what I do. Over the years, drywall has become more than just a job for me —it’s something I truly love. I’ve learned that rushing through a job just to finish quickly isn’t the way to do things. Quality always comes first because in the end, my work is a reflection of me.
Many contractors can put up sheetrock, but not many truly understand the art of spackle. For me, spackle isn’t just a step in the process — it’s an art form. It takes real technique and precision to create a smooth, even surface that won’t crack in a few months. I take my time to ensure that every wall I finish looks flawless and lasts. When I hear the name “Mayan,” it connects me to my roots and reminds me of the craftsmanship my ancestors were known for. Just like them, I want my work to stand the test of time. My goal is to leave every client happy, knowing they made the right choice in trusting me with their home.
