PROJECT DETAILS
Whole House and Basement
This quote includes us buying all the sheetrock boards and all the materials needed to sheetrock and spackle.
Materials include glue, screws, nails, corner beads, tape, spackle, etc.
We will cover the floors, cabinets, furniture and anything else that needs to be covered and protected with plastic and tarps.
Sheetrock
We will deliver the sheetrock and carry it in the house and down to the basement.
We will install the sheetrock in all the rooms we discussed, also including the basement.
We will be sure to use the correct sheetrock boards. For example, we use green boards in places where there will be moisture, such as in the bathrooms.
We also know how to hang the sheetrock boards for there to be less joints, which leads to better results with the finish.
Spackle
Once the sheetrock is up, we will check for loose nails and broken sheetrock before we start to spackle. This step prevents future cracks and nail pops.
Next, we will spackle the sheetrock with all the four layers:
Tape all of the cracks of the sheetrock
Spackle to cover all the tape and make all the walls even
Second coat of spackle to make them more even and smooth
Sand everything to leave the walls ready to paint
Given that there are multiple steps, we will need to come back multiple times in order for the spackle to dry properly in between each step.
Clean Up
Before we clean up, we will shine a light on all the walls to make sure they are really even and clean.
Then, we will be sure to sweep and leave everything really clean after we are finished sanding.
Finally, we are going to take all of the garbage made by the sheetrock and spackle and bring it with us.
